Counselling & Coaching for Adults in Hitchin & London Kings Cross

Feel as confident in love as you do in life.

A 12-week programme for high-achieving

women who want to feel steady, self-assured and confident in their

relationships — just as they do in every other area of their lives.

You know how to be successful.

You’re capable, independent and accomplished. You know your value. You can speak up, make decisions and hold your own.

But when it comes to your relationship, things can feel different.

You might find yourself putting your partners needs before your own, people-pleasing, avoiding difficult conversations, or over giving.

Perhaps you say yes when you really mean no because keeping the peace feels easier than dealing with conflict, or you feel overpowered and end up with self doubt.

Maybe you hold back what you really think or feel and then wonder why you don't feel truly seen or heard.

You may have put your partner on a pedestal, leaving the relationship feeling unequal — like their needs, opinions or feelings somehow carry more weight than yours.

And because it feels easier to accommodate, over-give and keep things harmonious, you do.

Until the resentment quietly builds.

Perhaps you’ve become so focused on being the “good” partner that you’ve lost touch with what you actually want.

But you know you want something different.

You want to feel steady in yourself.

Clear about what you need.

Confident enough to say what you really think and feel.

Able to set boundaries without feeling guilty.

And secure enough in your own worth that you no longer feel you have to over-give, keep the peace, or make yourself smaller to feel loved.

You want to feel as confident in love as you already do in life.

This is where things begin to change.

From people-pleasing and over-giving to standing confidently in your own worth.

My 12 week programme will help you move from putting your partner on a pedestal, prioritising their needs and keeping the peace at your own expense — to setting healthy boundaries, communicating your needs and showing up in your relationship as an equal.

This programme is designed to help you understand the patterns that are keeping you stuck and develop the confidence, self-trust and boundaries to show up differently in your relationship.

It’s about learning how to stay connected to yourself while being connected to someone else.

Because you can love deeply and still have needs.

You can be considerate without constantly compromising yourself.

You can communicate honestly without fearing every difficult conversation.

And you can know your worth without needing your partner to prove it to you.

Counselling session conversation

You might recognise yourself here…

You people-please.

You instinctively say yes, accommodate and put their feelings first — even when a part of you wants to say no.

You avoid conflict.

You'd rather go along with something than risk an argument, even when you know you're not happy with it.

You over-give.

You put in more, do more and accommodate more — then quietly resent it when it doesn't feel reciprocated.

You struggle to use your voice.

You know how to be assertive at work, but with your partner you find yourself backing down or holding back what you really think.

You put them on a pedestal.

You see your partner as the one who gets to decide whether you're “chosen”, rather than remembering that you get to choose too.

You know your worth — but don't always

feel it in your relationship.

And perhaps that's the most frustrating part.

Because you know the woman you are.

You know you're capable.

You know you're intelligent, independent and strong.

So why does it feel so much harder to access that version of yourself when you're in love?

You don't need to become a different woman.

You need to feel secure enough in who you are to stand by it in your relationship.

This programme is about strengthening your relationship with your own voice, needs, boundaries and sense of worth — so you can bring more of you into your relationship.

It's about moving from:

People-pleasing → self-trust

Over-giving → reciprocity

Backing down → confidently using your voice

Keeping the peace → communicating honestly

Putting him on a pedestal → seeing yourself as his equal

Quiet resentment → clear boundaries

Questioning your worth → knowing your worth

So you can show up in love from a place of confidence rather than fear.

What is therapy

Your journey over 12 weeks

This work moves through three powerful stages:

01 — KNOW | Identity Mastery

Know who you are and what you are worth.

Before you can confidently communicate your needs, you need to know what those needs actually are.

Together, we'll explore your values, needs, beliefs and the patterns you've developed around love and relationships.

You'll begin to understand the parts of you that people-please, shrink, doubt yourself or fear conflict — not so you can judge them, but so you can understand them and begin to respond differently.

Most importantly, you'll begin to rebuild your sense of worth from the inside, rather than measuring it by what you do for everyone else or how your partner responds to you.

You'll move from:

“Who do I need to be to be loved?”

Towards:

“Who am I, what do I need and what matters to me?”

02 — CHOOSE | Boundaries

Stop abandoning yourself to keep the peace.

Once you know yourself, the next step is learning to choose yourself.

We'll uncover where you people-please, over-give, say yes when you mean no and hand your power away in your relationship.

You'll learn to recognise the guilt and fear that can appear when you put yourself first — and develop the confidence to hold your boundaries without collapsing, over-explaining or immediately backing down.

Because choosing yourself isn't selfish.

It's self-respect.

You'll move from:

“It's easier to just go along with it.”

Towards:

“My needs matter too and I can honour them.”

03 — EXPRESS | Communication

Bring your whole self into the relationship as an equal.

Knowing what you need and having boundaries is one thing.

Being able to express yourself when it really matters is another.

We'll develop your ability to ask for what you need directly, calmly and clearly, while learning how to stay present during difficult conversations rather than freezing, shutting down or backing away.

You'll also begin to build your own inner authority — becoming clearer on:

What do I think?

What do I feel?

What do I want?

What's right for me?

So rather than placing your partner on a pedestal or giving them the power to determine your worth, you can begin to relate to them from a place of equality.

You'll move from:

“What will he think?”

Towards:

“What do I think, feel and want?”

And from there, you can create a relationship where you feel seen, heard and valued.

What is therapy

Imagine feeling…

• Clearer on who you are, what you want and what matters to you

• More trusting of your own thoughts, feelings and decisions

• Able to recognise when you're people-pleasing, over-giving or handing your power away

• Comfortable saying no without immediately feeling guilty

• More confident expressing your needs and opinions

• Able to stay grounded when difficult conversations arise

• Less likely to put your partner on a pedestal or place their needs above your own

• More confident taking up equal space in your relationship

• Secure in your own worth, regardless of how your partner behaves

• Able to show up in your relationship feeling seen, heard and valued

You can be deeply in love and still choose yourself.

You don't have to choose between being a

loving partner and being true to yourself.

You can have needs.

You can have boundaries.

You can say no.

You can ask for more.

You can speak honestly.

You can know your worth.

And you can love someone deeply while

remembering that you get to choose too.

The goal isn't to become someone different.

It's to become more secure in who you are — and confident enough to stand by itin your relationship.

You already know how capable, confident and self-assured you can be.

Now it's about bringing that same sense of certainty into your relationship — knowing your worth, trusting yourself, communicating what you need and feeling confident enough to stand beside your partner as an equal.

If something you've read here has made you think:

“This sounds like me.”
